Expensed Assets in Fixed Assets

Does anyone have a slick way of handling these, besides entering them at $0? We have a client who has a lot of minor assets that they still need to track, even though they've been expensed. They have about 30 locations. Fixed assets would allow them to be entered and tracked to an employee or manager, as well as the actual location.
