First the computer where the client runs on has to have a 3th party phone application to handle calls. I'd say Skype to stay neutral (not neutral: We have plenty of satisfied customer with the Procall-Innovaphone combination).
Nav works standard with "TAPI" (Telephone API), but offcourse one can always edit the handler to fit the 3th party software.
Anyway, to answer your question, press the phone button next to the phone no. field.
