Hi all, I just wanted to share this head scratcher.
I've reinstalled NAS for the first time and using the Official MS
"Installation & System Management: Application Server for Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV" paper
it all went well until jobs refused to execute with the error message: "User does not have permission"
My NAS domain user had SQL rights and in NAV had the User Permission Role of SUPER.
The culprit was me not realising that I'd give the Role to the Windows-login and not the SQL-login in NAV (All our permissions are for domain-logins, except NAS)
So remember to do this, if you're installing NAS for the first time

Yes the Dynamics NAV Application Service is run with Windows/Domain login.
But the login must have SQL rights aswell and that SQL-login must have the SUPER-role assigned in NAV, is what I'm experiencing...

Yes the user must be set up as a valid user in NAV. Basically, NAS is nothing more than a regular user session into NAV, but without a user interface. So whatever the NAS session is supposed to do, it must be set up with proper permissions. It doesn't have to be SUPER, as long as the role that the windows login is assigned to has the proper permission to execute its task.
