report cannot close because the system is currently working

Hi,

We are testing out processes having upgraded to NAV2009 executables. The database is 3.70.

We are running a report which produces about 30 pages. There is some posting going on via codeunit 12 within the report.

When we run it and do Preview the report runs and finishes and we can print from the Preview pane.

When we run it directly to a printer, the message "'report name' cannot close because the system is currently working". When we do OK the initial Request Window reappears and then the client is frozen click on anything and nothing happens. Task Manager is the only way to crash and close the client.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

    any resolution as im having a very similar problem apart from it's when they are trying to close the customer card, but they are not able to go between the windows

    Hi Katie,

    The report had a form which was run to input some data after it had been started. It was this that we think we had the problem with. The report was modified to accept the data as part of the initial Request Form and it is okay now.
