Does anyone have experience using Microsoft's Biztalk? In short, how does it work?

I have no practical experiences, but in theory it take document from input connector, transforms it into XML, this XML transforms based on the orchestration, resulting XML is transformed into output format and send into output connector. This is the main process... of course, there could be workflows inside and other different things.
