Question regarding CREATEOUTSTREAM and CREATEINSTREAM

Anyone knows what is the use of CREATEOUTSTREAM and CREATEINSTREAM, and its circumstances...
I'm really bad in this data structure. ](*,)

    From the navision help and its example, I'm a half of understand... the question should be:
    Is there any affects using bigtext datatype instead of instream and outstream datatypes? Is there any limitation of the instream and outstream datatypes...? :?:
