Adjust Cost - Item Entries

seven_ofseven_of Member Posts: 8
Hello experts!

I searched the forum and couldn't find a similar thread.

In Nav 5 SP1, when I run report 795: "Adjust Cost - Item Entries", the cost of an item seems
to be adjusted properly, but when I filter certain item by location, i get a situation where
quantity of an item is 0 and the cost exists.

I would appreciate any help.

Are you adjusting the cost per location and/or are you back dating entries?

I just ran native report "Adjust Cost - Item Entries" without any filters, and hoped that cost would also adjust to 0, if quantity is zero, on certain location. Ledger entries for that certain item look like this:

Check the average cost calc. type on Inventory setup

Thanx, it vas set to item, instead of item&location&variant, but even if I try to change it now I get the following error:

I suggest to contact your solution center and they can help you finding why you are getting the error mentioned.

I am surprised that you are discovering now considering that you have been live since 2009 and the solution center never asked such an important question about average costing and implications

If you look at the Entry numbers you have brought stock down to -50 before the final positive adjustment brought it back to 0. It is from costing point of view never a good idea to go to negative stock (assuming that the application of entries was automatic).
