How to use Integer DataItem in a report?

Hi Experts,
I want to learn how to use Integer DataItem in a Report. Can anyone help me with it. and it will be a great help if u can provide me an example so that i can try it out and undersatnd it better.

I went through this link or i would say posts before i raised this question.
As i have never tried it so i first want to know how does it work and i have asked for an example so that i can even get a handson exp of it.
