Error: Buffer OverRun crash NAV

Dear All,

My client who is using NAV4.0 on SQL 2000 server and Window XP machine for client is getting Buffer overRun problem on CERTAIN client machines 5~10 times daily. It occur out of no particular pattern while user entering sales order. Can any one help! It is critical! Thanks!

ERROR:: Buffer OverRun Detected
Program:...oft Business soluiton naviosion\client\fin.exe
A buffer OverRun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal
State. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated

    Exact error as follow;

    Hm, seems to be a quite strange error. Keep on searching the web and mibuso, there must be someone who has had the same problem before. Also have a look at this:

    Is the NAV build no. on these clients the same as on the other machines? Which build is it?
    Did you try reinstalling the client?

    Hi FDickschat,

    You mean the version no.? Yes. I did reinstall the particular PC but error still occur.

    just curious, but shouldn't the error reference finsql.exe if you are running a SQL backend? Is the user running the wrong client (fin.exe is the native db)?
    kind of fell into this...
