Multiple Navision Services in a Single Machine.

Hi everyone,

i tired to search and execute what i find for running multiple navision services in single machine but nothing worked out.

1) I tried to copy and paste the service folder with different name, renaming the port number and using SC command to create service.

2) i tried to use the tool provided by microsoft i.e NST.

Both works fine, they create a new service in services but when i try to start that service, i get an error that some services stop when they were not required. "I used different databases for both the services."

So if anyone can tell me the link or the way how to create multiple services in navision where both databases on single server, that would be great.

1) If you want to use same pot, you need to start Port Sharing service, which could be stopped (set to manual etc.)
2) You need to stop the service created by the installer. This service is not able to use shared port.
3) You need to look into Event Log for more info what is the problem. There must be some error...
