Hi All,
i develop user database using NAV 2009
but my user is using nav 3.7
after i develop and then send the object to them, they cannot compile it
any trick or suggestion?
thanks
if you work for a 3.7 client, use a 3.7 client to develop the object!
object upgrade is (almost) always possible, but object downgrade is sometimes not possible (the greater the gap between the versions, the lesser is the possibility of success)

so we cannot develop in 2009, and then send the object to other user which is using nav 3.*?
i thought there is a way to be done... or some trick maybe
no, you can't (at least not in an easy way...theorically you can trim the text version of the objects and remove those properties that didn't exist in the older version, but it's an hard and useless work).

PS: 3.70 is not supported anymore. So you should plan at least a technical upgrade to NAV2009SP1 or R2.
Or your client can upgrade to the NAV2009 client with no database upgrade - you may have to tweak the menu setup slightly, or convert them to the new menu structure. But the database should run just fine. That way, you can develop in NAV2009 for them.
