Seems like R2 did not address the ability to change the port the mail is suppose to go out of....

R2 is SP1 with some "additional" features, unfortunately no fixes have been included I'm fairly sure.
That said, in KB 2280492 I noticed that you can specify the port in the new Dynamics NAV Mail DLL, I haven't tried it but perhaps that'll work?

[edit] Should clarify I mean 'application object' fixes, the platform includes fixes which I think should include the above KB, but it needs an object change before it'll work fully.
