They are talking about a VM evironment (Virtual Machine) with some software pre-installed. I presume the regular downloads (one file per country version) will be available on PartnerSource from 15 Dec, as planned.

Ok, think I was told the virtual image should be released before the actual release.
Anyway, hope it's released tomorrow then.

    Just installed

    and uninstalled quickly

R2 cant be installed with 2009 SP1 at the same pc

    ok uninstall SP1
    install R2
    works ok
    try to install SP1 again
    system says NO

because I have customers with SP1 I uninstall R2 until I have another computer

    I dont like this situation
I usually have on my laptop NAV 4, 5 and 6 (I need it this way)

    Best Regards

    Got it,

    Uninstalled SP1 and Installed it.

Can't find the CRM connector yet but the rest is looking good.

Going to put SP1 back, although I guess this will have to be done manually in the same way as when SP1 came out.

Is deffinatly time to have a customer specific Service Tier VM on the servers at work.
    Regards

Can't you just install the msi files for classic anc rtc manually and have the advantage of not losing sp1? I did it always this way with sp1.

crm connector is downloadable in a separate section: check the download links in the page of nav r2 (it says that it will be available on 17th dec, just wait one more day

page action shortcut changed from alt+v,a to alt+v,o :(
why?now i need 2 hands to do it...or an extra long middle finger... :-k
on the bright side, you can access it from any line instead of the first blank line only
edit: i found why...because the c/al locals have the same shortcut...but it that context the c/al locals is useless!ok, it's just mine caprice, but i was too addicted to this shortcut...

because now you can access actions from everywhere in the page, not only on a new row.

in SP1: ctrl+v a is normaly used for the locals, only on a new row its for the actions.

now the actions needed their own shurtcut as you can access them from all over the page.

edit: oh you edited  ...

Haven't gotten a chance to test this myself. Does anyone if if objects exported out of R2 can be imported in SP1 and vice versa?

Thinking of doing away with SP1 completely.

    Alex_ChowAlex_Chow Member Posts: 5,063
The objects is import/exportable between versions.

However, it's a pain to have to upgrade the service tier... Looks like we can't completely rid of SP1 yet.

I've tested the WAN connection with certificates.
    I'm actually impressed.
