Replace DB in a Native Server

Dear all,

I have a Db(Test DB) in my Native Server (Test Server). I want to replace DB(Test DB) with the another DB ( Test DB2) . How to do this ?

What is the safe process ?? Kindly reply.

Check my process plz.

1 Stop the server.
2 Replace the database files with the new one ( with the same name).
3 Start the server

I think you can goahead with the process what you explained and before that check license is uploaded , users created in the Test DB2.

I've done that a lot of times without any problems.

The license is not a problem, because it is put in the subdirectory where the server.exe file is.

Actually, you already did:

PS: it might be necessary to give extra permissions to the new files so the user of the DB service (usually Network Service) has full access to them.
