The Function of Date Filter Field on PDC Sales

Dear all,

i have tried to enter the date on the Date filter field on Post Dated Checks - Sales Form, but it didn't make any effect to the line. when i put the date on that field and then enter it, the field become to blank again.
so what is the function of that filter field?

Must be a localization or customization. The functionality does not exist in standard version.
