Hello experts :)
My question is:

Nav 4.03 &Native DBserver + Windows Server 2008 64bits =???? = Is it gonna work ???

I have a client who works now on:
Nav 4.03 &Native DBserver + Windows Server 2003. But now they consider of buying new server and new OS on it. Is it gonna work?

And the second question is: if not so what they should do???

You need at least a hotfix to make it work.
But 4.0SP3 is not supported anymore. So the best you can do is to make a technical upgrade to NAV2009SP1. (Last week a customer changed server and I had also to do a technical upgrade from NAV3.7 to NAV2009SP1 because the server was Windows 2008.
With NAV2009SP1, the clients need to be on at least XP,W2003 (not supported anymore unless it is W2003R2),W2008 (R2),Vista,7.
So no more 2000, Millenium (who used this one anyway?).

    ok. Just one more question:)

    You have said:
    >You need at least a hotfix to make it work.

    But what hotfix you mean?
fix to 4.03-client??? Or there is a any 4.03-dbserver hotfix ???

p.s. I know there is a hotfix to 4.03-client to make it work on Vista/W7, but i dont know if it will help me in that situation.

I just checked the KB and you are right, it doesn't say anything about the server.exe.

To be on the safe side, it is best to upgrade to NAV2009SP1. After all 4.0SP3 is not supported anymore.
