Account Shedule filters

Hi Everyone.
I'm pretty sure this might be a stupid question but still rather new to NAV development.
I have modified the account schedule to enable one of our clients to get his finpack out of the account schedule but there is one thing I cannot seem to get working.
Basically I added a period option with the following string 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,ytd which represents there periods in there finpack. All this option string does is hide the colums that are not asked for.
now in order for me to continue I need to know where the filters are being appliedto the GL Account how they are being applied by row , so that if your column type is balance at date then it should use the last column in the option filter instead of the datefilter value.
Any sudgestions would greatly be appreciated.
