Database backup effect the logon user?

NAV 2009, SQLServer 2005
When other users are logon on and using NAV, if I make a backkup, do those users accept any error?
Or, when user is using, backup will have effects to the user?

Yes.
when user are log-in in advance then i think backup process automatically fails and if during backup user cannot logged-in if logged-in then it will lock tables.

All depends on how you will create the backup. If through SQL, no problem. If through classic client, than tables are locked during the backup.
