Hello,

A customer of us works with NAV 4.0 SP1 on SQL 2005.
He wants to add a customer with a name which has a special character in it.
The name exists of the character ğ. NAV changes this character in ?.

Is it possible to use this special characters in NAV?

Thanks in advance.

    As NAV uses codepage 437 (or 850?) you don't have access to that character.

    I don't know if it could be solved by national settings, if it can, you should try to convert the string like:
    value[charPos of ğ]:= [position of ğ in turkish codepage];

    For our customer the following problem occures:

    Our customer prints official documents with the name of the contact.
    The name of the contact must exactly be printed on that document.
    A name from Turkey can exist of special character, f.e. Ğ.
    This character can't be typed in NAV.

    Is there a possibility to use NAV with these special characters and print them on documents, without having problems with other parts of NAV?

    Thanks in advance.
