Hi Everyone,
Version NAV 2009 SP1
Database SQL
I have just installed NAV onto a new server and I installed a new instance of SQL for NAV. On the server I can connect to the database using the RTC and the classic client. On the server I have also setup all the SQL users and even setup a database login in SQL and in NAV.
I installed the clients but I cannot connect using Classic or RTC the error I get is The <SERVERNAME\INSTANCE> sever cannot be found. I have changed the protocl on the local machine to be TCP/IP as well and opened up the Firewall to port 1433. I can also ping the server user the <SERVERNAME>.
Please help
I have looked at other potings with no joy.
