Page Part

Dear All,

I would like to create a page with a total in it. I was thinking to create a page and a page part but I still cannot configure how to constantly update the page part. Besides the user would not be writing on any table but instead on a temporary table. Is there some way how I can create this link?

Please note that as written above I am using a temporary record therefore creating a normal link between the part and the page is not possible. I would require something more dynamic.
