Certification of sales invoices in Portugal from 2011 on

sresre Member Posts: 62
Hi all,

we've got an issue here and as I couldn't find any information on partnersource I thought I might give you a chance to share your knowledge.

I just received the information that in Portugal there's a regulation (Portaria n.º 363/2010) which urges companies to create a unique key for all invoices, use a RSA algorithm to encrypt it and print a part of the key on the sales invoice. All business software that's used needs a certification from the Portuguese tax authorities.

Anyone from Portugal here who's an expert in tax regulations? Would it be right to expect Microsoft to provide a solution for that (as it should effect everyone using Dynamics NAV in Portugal)? From my perspective it's like the adaption of VAT rates etc. where the software manufacturer provides solutions as well. I know that e.g. SAP is working on a solution already. Any experiences, information or recommendations?

Thanks in advance
Sascha

P.S.: I didn't focus to much on the technical solution as I don't want to implement that myself if possible ;-)

    Hi Sascha,

Microsoft Portugal is, as long as other software houses, developing a solution for this issue.
The solution will be available freely to every Dynamics customer who has software in support. The release will be available around December maybe!

    Best regards,
    Tito Tavares

    Hi Tito,

that definetly sounds good to me. Do you have any source or link for that statement from Microsoft (e.g. partnersource)? Would make me feel much more secure ;-)

    Thanks

Thanks for that, we've been able to adapt our application accordingly. One last thing we can't solve currently: The software certificate number will be printed on all sales invoices as “Processado por programa certificado nº ###” (“Processed by certified program no. ###”) but we don't know Microsofts certification number.

In the whitepaper it says "Enter the certificate number assigned to the software producer. If not applicable, enter “0” (zero). You can enter a maximum of 20 characters." My quesion is: Do you know where to get this number from? I couldn't find it included in the download above and I can't find it on partnersource either.

    Any idea?

    Thanks
    Sascha

On Soft. Certificate Number it's 494/DGCI.... i forgot the /DGCI

It's the VAT from the company (MSFT SOFTWARE PARA MICROCOMPUTADORES LDA) who certified Dynamics NAV as you can see in http://www.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt/pt/ ... &pagina=25

That link to http://www.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt is just perfect, thanks.

Sorry to bother you again but I've got (hopefully) one last question, regarding this:

Why DGCI? In the documentation I have it's written that the Certificate Number has to be printed on the invoice. In the list on the finance website above it's only "494"?! :-k

    Thanks

I won't comment on that ... I guess here in Germany it's not better - just different :-)
Anyway, I really appreciate your help. Now I've got all the answers I've been looking for. Thanks a lot!
