Assigning Users to a role

Currently you can create a profile for a Domain Group and assign it a profile. When RTC user logs in it creates a new record for that user in User Personalization table instead of using the Domain group if they part of AD.

Is this the intended process? We have to assign roles at user level?

Profiles are not related to domain groups (in the same way that security roles can be).

Storage of personalization will always be for a user, unless you run with -configuration in order to make changes at the Profile level instead.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "Currently you can create a profile for a Domain Group and assign it a profile".

What I meant is that. "Currently you can create a "User Personalization" record for a Domain Group and assign it a Role.
Which confuses the user that they can then assign a role to an AD group.

    I see what you mean.

Yes, the platform could help by disallowing SIDs that are groups - unfortunately it doesn't!
