Hi All,
I have read many posts related to Upgrade. I have done following activities and faced issues while working on Developer tool kit. I am using Windows 7 professional - 32 bit and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - 32 bit.

1. I have tested the Current Customer Database on NAV 5.0 SP1 W1.
2. I have fixed the testing errors.
3. I have tested the relationships between tables, all are completed successfully.
4. I have the standard NAV 5.0 SP1 W1 database.
5. I have the standard NAV 2009 SP1 W1 package/dvd - complete software with all its content from Partner Source.
6. I have download the NDT 3.01 for NAV developer Toolkit.
7. I have exported all objects of Current Customer Database and Standard Database on NAV 5.0 SP1 W1 in TXT form.
8. I have run the command REMID to remove the IDs from custom old database objects.
9. I have run the command REMID to remove the IDs from Standard old database objects.
10. I have installed the new version of NAV 2009 SP1 successfully.
11. I have installed the NDT 3.01 on the system.
12. I have created a new database in SQL.
13. I have imported the DevTool.fob objects from NAV developer toolkit folder in program files.
14. I have run the report no. 99003600 to make the database ready for developer toolkit.
15. When I open the developer toolkit application.
15.1. I have selected the NAV server and database authentication with correct user ID and Password.
15.2. I have selected the database created and ready from point no. 14.
15.3. I got the error:126
15.4. On clicking OK at error message from 15.3, a new message 'you have not selected a database'.
15.5. On clicking OK again, then a new error message appear as 'Database error:1046'.

In another attempt, I have also restore the database back 'DevTool' from developer toolkit. And, again run the report no. 99003600. Then, open the same database in Developer Toolkit Application, but no luck. This time, I got the error no.: 52006. on clicking OK, same message appear 'you have not selected a database'. and then 'Database error:1046' after clicking Ok.

You are requested to advice me to rectify the issue. And, also tell me the way to compare and merge the database, so that I can do the upgrade.

I suggest to merge the object using text compare tools. Like beyond compare. And don't use the toolkit.

I think my query was bit different. By the way, thanks for the reply. My issue get resolved just by doing some hit & trials.
