Hi, I need the "Navision CODBC 3.70.pdf". The one found in my installation directory is only 1Kb and without content.

I search something like this http://www.navisionguider.dk/downloads/ ... 1nodbc.pdf. A description which SQL Functionality is implemented (Chp.3.3).

Any idea?

That download is fine and probably the same as the 3.7 version. What issue are you having?

Really? I thought there was a redesign of the ODBC driver from 3.7 to 4? For some dataload interface my colleagues try different kind of SQL Views using NAV ODBC. Because of this they need some information which SQL Statements will be supported in the Driver. They want to avoid performance problems when designing the statements by using good SQL constructions which have some bad translation in the ODBC Driver.

Not all pdf-files are Adobe Portable Document Files. The pdf you are referring to, is a Package Definition File meant for unattended installation of the software.

The C/ODBC pdf manual (w1w1codbc.pdf) can be found in the Doc-folder of the ProductCD.

For your convenience, here is the complete content of Chapter 3.3:
    3.3 C/ODBC FUNCTIONALITY
C/ODBC has the functionality required for it to be used as a read/write data source.
The SQL conformance level is the CORE level.
The API conformance level is most of Extension Level 1. The driver does not support all the options defined as comprising ODBC functionality.

Not much functionality is provided as you might expect using MS Acces or Excel with MSQuery
Use same C/ODBC how ever. Main thing: No joints allowed.

But if you study manual carefull you will see C/ODBC is not that bad.
The use with Office is limited on large tables.
