Hi,
We are using Navision 2009 with SQL 2005. Currently we have created 7 branches in the database.
Nowwe are in need to open one new branch overseas who will work as one of our supplier. We will bebasically requesting our items to be purchased by that branch and that branch will sell it to us wit thier profit margin. We want to use the same item codes and same purchase requests for all the location if to this new ovrseas branch.
I would appreciate if an one can suggest the right setup from below options;
1. Should I create a new company in the same database use the same chart of account and replicate the same items from current company. I will be creating the intercompany purchase and sales order.
2. Should I create a new location in the current database and use the dimension of Business unit to seperate all financial entries. Do I need to have different G/L accounts for inventory sales and COGS.
Appreciate your advice.
