Basic question: retrieval of data in a text box

Hello there,

yesterday I've started making reports an Navision - so I am really an absolute beginner in Navision.

My question:

How do I retrieve a simple static information from a table to a text box. It concerns our company header, and I am trying to fill in account information for our bank accounts.

I've declared a global variable like this:

Name DataType Subtype Length
BankAccount Record Bank Account

So I made a text box and filled in properties/SourceExpr: BankAccount.Name

I've tried: BankAccount.Name[1]
But that field is always empty on the report.

We have only three accounts in the referencing table. So I need the syntax to specify it by its No.
Maybe I am totally wrong, but I need this basic information.

Try the following code:
Get the first Bank Account

OnPreReport()
IF NOT BankAccount.FIND('-') THEN
  CLEAR(BankAccount);

or (Get a specific Bank account e. g. '4711')

OnPreReport()
IF NOT BankAccount.GET('4711') THEN
  CLEAR(BankAccount);
