GROUPING IN FORMS

Hallo!

Is there any dev who can help me advising me how can i group my data in a form ?

I would like to use data from ILE

I suppose so i could manage it easily in a report but it is not my need.

Any help?

Then the form should be like "chart of account overview". try with runtime grouping also.

I recommend to use temporary table into whcih you will group the data. But question is, which data you want to see and how many entries you want to group...

My goal is to show in a form all the items which a particular customer bought based on a specific location

The columns must have these values

No.
Description
Quantity (Inv)

The entries must be distinct, based on "Item No."
The period (Posting Date) is UpToDate

Is there any clear example in navision which can i follow?

Could anyone give me a sample of a code in order to develop it?

Take a look at Form 5708 Get Shipment Lines.

I guess this is for more user-friendly. Try to open Form 5708, and imagine if there is no grouping in there, will be so messy.
