Mail Blast and Bounce Back Tracking in NAV CRM.

Hi All,

We have this requirement from customer where they want to use NAV CRM SEGMENT to send out e-mails to multiple contacts (in thousands). And want to track,
> Whether e-mails is sent successfully or not.
> If not, whether it's failed because of invalid e-mail (so that they can adjust e-mail in system for such contact) or recipient mail box full (so that it could be re-tried again after specified period).
> As well as some sort of indication whether the mail was opened by recipient or not.

Would like to know has someone implemented similar solution before, if yes, can provide some guidelines OR is there any NAV add-on available to address this requirements, that would be great.
I understand MS CRM has somewhat similar function available but curious to know whether feasible in NAV or not.
Thanks.

I have developed lots of email handling functionality specifically for NAV CRM.

Are you planning to use internal mail server?

You can also use something like constantcontact, they provide statistical reports you can then use for further analyzing your NAV data.

    Thanks,
Currently customer is managing it with the outside provide (similar to the constant contact).
But they want to know whether it's possible to achieve that with NAV CRM using internal mail server.
Have you developed something like this before?
    Thanks

    It is possible.
We did somewhat similar functionality for our client using exchange server and NAS.
Majority of the logic is outside NAV, in a windows service that watches the exchange mailbox. NAV, then uses the results produced by this service. Now i would use web services instead of NAS (provided that your client uses 2009 version).
    What database are they on?
