How can end user be stopped from changing the work date?

Why do you need to prevent it? It wont prevent the user to post on other dates than today.
Besides Work Date is very useful to not have to change dates all the time when working on other dates than today.

If you would be able to prevent the user from changing the workdate, you won't be able to prevent the user from changing the system date on his PC. When he then starts NAV, then this becomes the new workdate anyway.

If you want to limit the posting date used by the user, setup it in the User Setup.
