Can you change a depreciation book, in a a FA

Is there a way to change a depreciation book that is attached to a FA that has ledger entries posted to it, and have the Book Value and all past entries allocated to the new Depreciation Book, so that Depreciation going forward is calculated for that Depreciation book and not the old one.

you are looking to reclassify the acquisition/depreciation/salavage value FA Ledger entries into the new account, or are you simply trying to use a new dep. book for the net book value? Also, what is the difference between the 2 dep. books? Are you really trying to change the posting accounts? If so, that would be changing the FA Posting Group instead.

    YES
    NO, not to reclassify
the client has consolidated 2 companies data including FA into one(by moving data)
The 2 companies had different depreciation book names, but setup the same way.
