Work order variances post different in 2009 then Nav 5.0

In Nav 5.0 when a WO was closed the variances would carry through to the GL the product line of the item. Starting day 1 on 2009 SP1 the variances are posting to the product line of the last step in our routing which in our case is diffeent than the item. We would like to get back to the way it was but we can not find a setup anywhere that controls this. Anybody have any ideas?
