2009SP1 Classic install Vista not remove old NAV versions

If I install the NAV 2009SP1 on XP, it as normal prompt whether the installation mus be a new (separate) installation.

However when installing on Vista, the wizard does not provide the prompt and hence remove older installed versions.

The desire is not to uninstall, but to prevent uninstalling. Have both old and new version available same machine.

Eventually I copied from the Program Files folder from another machine and it works. However, when I tried the same trick some time ago, there was an issue.

On customer production systems, NAV 2009 is not supported with multiple client installs. If any machines have multiple NAV versions installed (along with 2009) then all versions (including 2009) must be uninstalled, and the 2009 re-installed. System should be rebooted between the uninstall and re-install steps.

To install with other versions (development/testing only) see:

There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
