Hi Functional Experts,
we are using NAV2009 IN version, i got a problem in reclassification entry for Fixed assets while posting i am facing an error says that "Book Value must not be negative or less than salvage value on (date...) for fixed asset no. = FA0001 in depreciation book code = com act".
what i am trying to do as follows.
previous to Navision they were maintaining fixed asset file in excel. now we have uploaded them into Navision.
for ex asset # FA0001 with 2 quantity, acquisition cost on 10/01/05 and depreciation start date also the same and no of years is 7. acquisition cost is rs.1,00,000/- now almost 5 years completed so the depreciation value approx 70000/- so the book value becomes 30000/-. now we need to reclassify them since the quantity is 2. when i try to reclassify the asset with 50 % acquisition cost value and created the journal as FA0001 -50000 and new FA0030 50000. when i try to post the entry the error says "as said above"
please suggest how to pass a reclassification entry.
thanks
