Sorting of Primary Key fields not taking place in SQL

chandrurecchandrurec Member Posts: 560
Hi all,

In the sales Order , when I press F5 , I can open the sales list. In Sales list, when by default,it will get sorted by document type and no in ascending order. This works fine in When I open the sales list in native database but when I try to open the sales list from sql database, the sorting is not happening.

If anybody already come across this problem(i.e sorting working perfectly in native db but not in sql db), Kindly tell me the solution to correct this in order to make the sorting working correctly in sql db also.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Chandru.

Sorting of code fields can vary between native and SQL when the field contains nummeric values of variable lenght. The field will be treated as a number in native and as text in SQL.
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

I have seen this happen when number series is setup like:

    from 1 to 9999

instead, with SQL Server it should be setup like:

    from 0001 to 9999
