Hello experts,
Is there a link between Direct Unit Cost on the Machine Center Card and the Average Cost (LCY) on the Item Card assuming the Costing method = Average.
Thanks

Link? The cost of the machine center is allocated to the production of the item. In short, no.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Is that suppose to mean you cannot find the total cost of production of a product in Navision.
I think,
The total cost = Cost of Raw Material(Production BOM) +
Cost of processing the Raw Material (Routing).
What then is the use of the Direct unit cost in the Machine center card?

The machine center and work center is used in the routings. That's where the cost is being allocated.
I was answering your question on whether there's a direct link on how the cost is allocated. The answer is no. However, if you sum up the cost the raw materials and the routing costs, the total will be equal to the cost on the output.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
