NAV2009 SP1 SQL text filter issue

Hi All,

I need your help to solve following issue:
Let's consider a vendor whose name is "Saafari".

When I want to find this vendor by name, I select "Beginning of Field" and input @*sa* text.
Navision is not able to do it.

When I change the name to "Safari" (by removing one letter a), everything works fine.
It seems like Navision does not like same letters to be together.

It only happens in the case of the SQL database. With native database is fine.
Database collation is set to "Windows collation".

Has anyone know what might be wrong with my configuration? Or maybe this is a Navision's bug?

Thanks in advance for your help.

King regards,
JTPro

In standaard NAV there is customer 27321782 called Karoo Supermarkets. Filtering on *@ro* gives no problem as such.

Tested on NAV 2009 SP1 RTC (so on SQL).

In 6.01 DE Classic (Build 30212) it works. SQL 2005 with Windows Collation "Afrikaans, Basque, Catalan, Dutch, English, Faeroese, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese", Case sensitive, accent sensitive.

Btw, you write that you use find, beginning of field and *@sa*. That's not necessary with find. A simple find for "sa" would do. I tried find my way, your way and filtered and all worked.
