Setting as visible or not

Dear All,
Is it possible to hide and show a field in a card? I have tried to use a global variable in the editable property of the field but it just gets hidden and doesn't show when triggered to do so. The same procedure works for the editable field though.

You have this in the three tier, but are you talking Classic or RTC?
What trigger on the F/P are you using to set the Global?0 -
On RTC it is know problem, that visibility is not refreshed when you suppose to be...0
