It appears that the filters in the RTC are all case sensitive. There does not appear to be a way to disable "Match Case" for either a single filter, or system wide. I feel like I am missing something simple here, but maybe that is "just the way it is".

I hope I do understand you right and if so I do not experience the same problem. Let me show you what a just did.
1. I opened the Customer List
2. Set one after the other the following filters on Name field
a. *p*
b. *P*
c. *@p*
These all typically gave different results and surely showed me case sensitive (a. en b.) and case insensitive (c.) results.
