Hi!

Did anyone have to change the length of the main key of item table: "No."?

Is it posible? How many tables, codeunits, reports will not work?

Is there any script or codeunit to do this change more easilly?

    Hi,

Why do you want to change the lenght of Item."No." ?
There is probably a easier method to do what you need... ?

    Hi,

In case you need to do it, use the Developer's Toolkit and find where that field is used, and then you can see what fields might need to be modified too, and so on... (recursively !!!!)

But as philippegirod mentioned it is not recommended. All I have ever had increased is descriptions...

    Hi,

Don't do it. It affects 153 object in 3.60. Even if this number would be smaller it wouldn't be a smart idea.

Anyway - what are you trying to achieve? Item No. is Code 20. Use it as a key and add another field of needed length for your purposes.
