When an item must be delivered (through sales orders) to the customer after a repair operation, we need the system to update the existing service item and not creating a new one.
We checked in Dynamics NAV code : when you deliver an item to the customer it generates automatically an additional “service item”.
Of course we have activated such functionality when delivering an item from first sales orders, to generate automatically the service item.
