VAT Rounding

steveblocksteveblock Member Posts: 13
When total vat is 13%, for example, it's made up of a 5% tax and an 8% tax. Nav calculates the 5%, then rounds to 2 digits (instead of the 4 we want). Then it calculates the 8% amount, rounds to two digits, and then adds the two amounts together.

My client would like the system to calculate both amounts, add them together and THEN round to two digits.

Can this be done? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Are you refering to VAT or the American sales TAX setup ?

The addition of two VATs is not so common place.

Can you describe the scenario the system is doing this for ?

It almost sounds like you should have a single 13 % Vat setup if your client is based in the EU or canada

it's the canadian vat. we cant use just 13%. that's made up of an 8% tax and 5% tax. sometimes one of them is reimbursable, other times not. that's why it has to be separate.
