1 invoice into 2 journal entries

hey all,

Is it possible to create a cash register who generates invoices and will write the received money to a journal entry in your general ledger?

That means, if a customer pays with cash, the amount is written to a journal entry and physsically it will be put in an vault.

To make it more difficult, is it possible to create an invoice that will me payed using cash and PIN, AND also be posted to 2 different journal entries in your general ledger?

Ik hope the question is understandable...

Thanks,

Your question is difficult to understand.

Have you looked at using prepayments?

If you want 2 ledger entries per invoice/payment then no. An invoice itself will generate at least 2 entries (that is without VAT, one combination of business and posting group, and one for the client. If you want to have the entries for the invoice and one for the payment. That can be done. If the payment is done more parts (one cash, another trough bank transaction) the cash journal can register those. Just as long you apply both entries to the invoice.
If you want a Point of Sales (like the supermarket), there are a lot of possibilities already available. Your partner will help you in these matters. If you have no partner, you can search for the best partner at the microsoft website.

You can use Payment method code and define the Cash Account. The entry of cash receipt will be posted along with Sales Invoice posting. But in case you want to apply multiple payment method then either you need to customize or if Retail solution is applicable then you can select LS retail or a similar addon/vertical.
