Sending rec to web service

Dear All,
I have created a web service which captures a rec and uses it accordingly. I require to call this web service whenever a record is created. Can a trigger be created from the form or use another method? So far I have found out that NAV accesses a com and not a direct web service.
Kindly note that I am using NAV 2009 SP1
