Nav 2009 R2 Release

New Nav version is coming out and I see no thread about it. So started a thread for someone who wishes enlighten others about the new version.

Also want to know if Nav 7 will have anything called classic client? and will the classic client be relegated to Software Development environment? :-k
Rumours are that forms will be done away with. :shock:

Please shed some light on the facts for people like me.

On NAV 209 R2 there a couple of blog posts on dynamicsuser.net. Regarding NAV 7. The statement of directions is to be found on Partner/Customer Source waldo also has a blog post on that (and also on R2).

I will not name NAV 2009 R2 as "new version". It is somehow extended version, but there is no enough "new" things to name it new version.

And yes, Statement Of Directions is the main source of what you could expect in future. It is too early to uncover some things from NAV "7" now, everything could be changed.
