Hi there,
is there any official statement available (from Microsoft) regarding prerequisites and compatibility of NAV with "SQL Server 2008 Release 2" ?
Same actually applies to "Windows Server 2008 R2" ...
Cheers,
Jörg

This was the response I got from MS in early June.
“We will provide support for SQL 2008 R2 no later than 90 days after the RTM of SQL 2008 R2. We are currently in the process of testing the product”There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0 -
Hmmm ... OK, thanks for the info. So there should be some official statement within a couple of weeks ...Jörg A. Stryk (MVP - Dynamics NAV)

after moving my NAV 5.0 database from sql 2008 to sql 2008 R2 the clients connecting from Windows 2000 machines started losing connections (aplication error: connection to the server lost ...), XP and higher are fine0

Received this from Microsoft this morning:
"NAV R&D team has completed the verification for running Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 with SQL Server 2008 R2. An official announcement will be posted on PartnerSource and CustomerSource shortly."There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0 -

Hi!
I`ve encountered a problem with NAV 5.0 SP1 on SQLServer2008R2 64/WindowsServer2008R2 64.
We`ve used 5.0SP1 on a SQL2005SP3 and everything was fine, but when i restored same base on a SQLServer2008R2 64/WindowsServer2008R2 64 machine, NAV refuses to connect and gives that trace flag 4616 error. But 5.0SP1 no longer needs it, right?
Will trace flag solve my problem?
Thanks in advance.for mother russia!0 -
5.0 SP1 still need TF 4616. This requirement is void with NAV 2009 SP1.Jörg A. Stryk (MVP - Dynamics NAV)
