There are many examples how to import XML-Files into Attain, but they alway use the data type "Automation". I can't find this type in my menu botton.

There should be 'Automation' data type in your C/AL Globals window :?:
Automation server comes with Windows (i.e. 'Microsoft XML, v3.0').
You can parse XML yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it. Try figuring out where did 'Automation' data type "go".
