Costing Module in Ax 2009

Hi All,

Do we have costing module in AX 2009?

Do we have any document where all the Cost Accounts, which need to be set up in COA?

    Yes a cost accounting module exists.

    For the documentation you will need to reference partnersource.

    Hi Adam,

    In my understanding the cost accounting in AX will not give the Cost of Production....
    It will be used to allocate the costs between dimensions and defined cost categories..

    Correct me if i am wrong..............

    Well costing of production is not a separate module, it is driven by manufacturing - would you like to rephrase your original question? Yes the cost accounting is primarily on allocation etc, the costs at this stage are known.
