SQL Patterns for NAV 5

Hi, i have to create business appl, on the NAV 5 db.
And as you now, there are too many tables, to code classes in Business Level by myself.
One my friend advised me to use CodeSmith.
Is there any others products to do the same?

And i`ll be very grateful if you give me some samples of this patterns

If u want to use CodeSmith, i assume it's SQL database (and you are not a NAV partner ^^).

My advice : Don't plug your DAL directly to NAV DB (using Codesmith or other code generator).
Identify the data you have to use and contact your partner to export data in custom nav table (or text file, or xml file, or use WS... ).
