Exporting lists as text files in RTC

NAV Three Tier
Hi,
Our client has dataports that export lists as text files. Such as Customer List, Vendor list, etc.
I need to find a solution to do this through the RTC. What should I do? I have never used XMLports so any help would be appreciated. :-k
